When inspiration
becomes icon: Vreeland.
It all stemmed from a photo between the pages of Harper's Bazaar.
The subject portrayed was
Diana Vreeland, the famous American journalist and fashion and style icon of the 1960s.
On her feet was a flat leather sandal with an ultra-basic design, with its slightly high line on the ankle that thinned the silhouette, leaving the foot almost completely bare.
It was love at first sight.
Since that day, the essentiality of a string of hand-embroidered beads on the foot has become an icon of Malìparmi style.
